To be eligible for TS LAWCET counselling, candidates belonging to the General category must have secured 35% marks in TS LAWCET exam (i.e. 42 marks out of 120 marks). The OBC category students must score atleast 35% marks in TS LAWCET exam (i.e. 42 marks out of 120 marks), and for the SC/ST category, there is no minimum qualifying marks for SC and ST category candidates. However, for the 3-year LL.B. course, any graduate degree candidate with (10+2+3 pattern) from a recognised University or its equivalent can apply and for the 5-year LL.B. course, two year Intermediate Examination with (10+2 pattern) or its equivalent is acceptable. 

TS LAWCET counselling is the process by which candidates who have qualified for the TS LAWCET exam are allocated seats in law colleges in Telangana. The counselling process is conducted by the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE).

Steps involved in TS LAWCET counselling are the following:

1. Registration: Candidates who have qualified for the TS LAWCET exam need to register for counselling on the official website of TSCHE.

2. Document verification: Candidates need to verify their original documents at the designated helpline centers.

3. Web option entry: Candidates need to enter their web options (i.e., their preferred colleges and courses) on the counselling portal.

4. Seat allotment: TSCHE will allot seats to candidates based on their rank and web options.

5. Reporting to the allotted college: Candidates who have been allotted seats need to report to the allotted college for admission.

If your name is not mentioned in the First Seat Allotment List of TS LAWCET Counselling 2023, you need to wait for Phase II of TS LAWCET Counselling. In this phase, seats will be allotted to candidates who could not get admission due to their low merit rank based on their score in the TS LAWCET 2023. 

Candidates need to note that their name will appear in the TS LAWCET 2024 Second Seat Allotment List if they score enough to secure the remaining seat after the seat allotment round 1. 

Through the TS LAWCET 2023 Seat Allotment, seats will also be allotted to the following types of candidates: 

• Candidates who want to change seats, colleges, or courses allotted in the first round of seat allotment. 
• Candidates who could not report to the counselling centre in round 1 of counselling. 

The difference between the syllabus of Andhra Pradesh LAWCET and syllabus of CLAT are the following:

1. Mathematics: The undergraduate CLAT exam includes a mathematics section, while Andhra Pradesh LAWCET does not have a dedicated mathematics section.

2. Regional Focus: Andhra Pradesh LAWCET may include questions specific to the legal landscape and laws relevant to the state of Andhra Pradesh, whereas CLAT is a national-level exam with a more standardized syllabus applicable across India.

3. Structure: AP LAWCET syllabus is structured differently, with a broader range of subjects, including Current Affairs, Legal Aptitude, and various specific laws. In contrast, CLAT's syllabus is more streamlined with a focus on English Language, Legal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, and Mathematics (for the undergraduate program).

Please note that the specific topics within each subject mentioned in the syllabus may vary from year to year and are subject to change. Therefore, it's essential for candidates to refer to the official exam notifications and syllabi provided by the respective exam conducting authorities for the most up-to-date information when preparing for these exams.

To prepare for the current affairs section of the Andhra Pradesh LAWCET exam, you can follow these tips:
