Yes, with a 76 percentile in your 12th class, you have a chance of being admitted to the Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL), BA LLB (Hons). Your chances, however, will be based on how well you do on the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) as well as how competitive the year is overall.

The main criterion taken into account for admission to the BA LLB (Hons) programme at RGNUL is the CLAT. It is still possible to get into a university with a little lower 12th class percentage if you have a great CLAT score.

To create a shortlist of candidates for the personal interview (PI) stage, your percentage from your 12th grade will be used. Still, your admittance is not decided by the percentage alone.
The admissions procedure gives more weight to your CLAT score. A little lower 12th class percentage can be made up for with a good CLAT score.

You will receive an invitation to a PI if you are selected for further consideration. Your legal aptitude, communication abilities, and general programme fit are evaluated by the PI. You should concentrate on attaining a good CLAT score in order to improve your chances of being admitted to RGNUL, especially considering your 76 percent in 12th class. To establish oneself as a formidable contender, aim for a CLAT score in the upper percentile.

Remember that admission is difficult, and having a high CLAT score does not ensure admission. However, you can greatly increase your chances of being accepted into RGNUL's BA LLB (Hons) programme with a solid CLAT score and a well-prepared PI.

NLU Patiala offers various course to candidates in the Law specialisations. Though, it’s important to consider other factors such as infrastructure, faculty, curriculum, fees structure, etc. while taking admission. Candidates can visit the campus or check alumni/student reviews. 

Candidates need to pass graduation in the relevant discipline from a recognised university with at least 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for SC/ ST/ PwD) to apply for RGNUL PG Diploma course. Aspirants who complete graduation degree in any stream for prison personnel can also apply for PG Diploma course.

The CLAT entrance exam results are accepted by the Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL) for admission to its BA LLB (Hons) programme. India offers a nationwide entrance exam called CLAT for admission to undergraduate and graduate law programmes. The Consortium of National Law Universities is in charge of it.

The 12th examinations from the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB), the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), and the Indian School Certificate (ISC) are also accepted by RGNUL for candidates from Punjab. Applicants must have received at least 45% (or 40% for SC, ST, and OBC candidates) in their qualifying exam. 

Based on their CLAT score, candidates who have received a legitimate score will be shortlisted. To further assess the candidates, RGNUL may conduct personal interviews (PIs) with those who have been shortlisted if there are more applicants than seats available.

A one-year LL.M. Post Graduation Course in Business Law, Constitutional Law, Criminal Law, and International Law is available from the Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL). There will be sixty (60) seats available in total for the LL.M. course.

Students in the home state general category are eligible for a specialised rate at the university. For the home state general category students, nine seats will be allotted individually. Students in the SC/ST category will be given 18 seats. Six places are set aside for students belonging to the OBC category. Candidates need to complete LLB or Five-year integrated LLB from a recognised university with an aggregate of 55% (50% aggregate for SC/ ST) to apply for Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law LLM course. Candidates appearing in/ awaiting results of the qualifying exam may also apply and appear provisionally for the admission test, subject to the condition that they shall produce the supporting documents.

According to NLU Patiala cutoff 2024 CLAT Round 5 Seat Allotment results, the cutoff for LL.M. in Criminal Law stood at 987 for the General AI category. The placements at The Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law are pretty good and the average salary package offered was 8.4 LPA. The university is considered to be one of the top universities for law. 

Every year, the students are provided a generous CTC package during the placement drive. Placements for RGNUL Punjab 2023 are now complete. Eight recruiters made PPOs, and eight recruiters made offers to graduating students; the remaining eight recruiters were hired through campus recruitment. Out of the 31 students who were placed, 11 of them obtained PPOs as a result of their internships. 

The RGNUL Punjab students received offers from a number of recruiters, including Trilegal, Ernst & Young LLP, S&A Law Officers, Link Legal, etc.

Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law Punjab, is ranked 24th by NIRF 2024 under the Law category. The university is approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI) and UGC. RGNUL Patiala was accredited with an A Grade by NAAC. The University has established a Legal Aid Clinic under the aegis of the Punjab Legal Services Authority. RGNUL Punjab is a member of the Asian Law Institute (ASLI), Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA); Indian Law Institute (ILI); Indian Society of Criminology; Indian Society of International Law (ISIL),  and others. 

The CLAT First Allotment List 2025 has been released for the BA LLB Hons. course. Considering the RGNUL Patiala CLAT cutoff 2025, the needed rank to get into the institute is 11761 for the ST All India quota. However, the acquired rank is not enough to get shortlisted for the counselling round to get admission to BA LLB Hons. course at RMLNU Lucknow.
