The TS LAWCET 2023 entrance exam date has not been announced yet, however, it is expected to be conducted in May. The entrance exam for three-year LLB course and five-year LLB course,   will be held in computer-based.

To study law at the University of Petroleum & Energy Studies (UPES), applicants need to fill out the UPES LLB or LLM application form and submit their 12th Board marks and CLAT/LSAT scores to participate in their selection process. Candidates who have not taken the CLAT/LSAT India exams need to appear in the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies Law School Admission Test (ULSAT) to study LLB/LLM at the institution. CLAT and LSAT India scores are non-exam pathway for ULSAT entrance exam.

Yes, you can apply with board exam marks and CLAT or LSAT scores. but do check your eligibility before applying. The ULSAT entrance test is only for those who score less than 60% marks in their qualifying exam. Thus, candidates with more than 60% marks in their board exam and undergraduate exam can also apply to study UG and PG law courses offered by the School of Law UPES. CLAT and LSAT India scores are also accepted by the institution as a non-entrance pathway for admissions to UG and PG law programmes. The application fee for general category candidates is INR 800 (SC/ST candidates need to pay INR 500). Note that in addition  to these, there are also various late fee which can be as low as INR 500 and goes up to INR 4,000.

The first step to fill the TS LAWCET application form 2023 is payment of the application fee. There are two modes to pay the application fee:

  1. One is through the online payment gateway available on the exam website using net banking, credit or debit cards.
  2. The other option is to visit an TS/ Andhra Pradesh online centre and pay the fee there and collect the receipt. You will have to then enter the transaction id in the application portal to move to the next stage of the application process.

The application form can be filled in online only. You must note that there is no way to apply for TS LAWCET through any other way. The portal to apply is lawcet.tgche.ac.in.

ULSAT application process starts in February month of every. The University of Petroleum and Energy Studies releases ULSAT application form multiple times in a year for UG and PG law courses. The ULSAT 2023 application form for the phase 4 was available till July 20. Candidates who met the prescribed eligibility criteria could apply apply for ULSAT 2023. As per the ULSAT eligibility criteria 2023, candidates were required to score 50% in their Class (10+2) exam (qualifying exam) for admission to UG law courses. They were also required 50% marks in their respective qualifying exam for admission to 3-year LLB and LLM programmes.

It depends on the college you are studing, some colleges allow students to chose from the remaining subject whereas some are fixed as the college does not have any other subjects.
