A list of programme colleges exists in Bihar and Jharkhand. Bihar contains Patna University that requires a 1-year course for INR 8,200 as well as Maulana Mazharul Haque Arabic and Persian University asking for INR 9,010 for 1-year study and Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar University needing INR 1,700 for a 1-year program. Jharkhand holds AISECT University Dr. Zakir Husain Institute Pragyan International University and RKDF University which provide courses.

The fees structure for Masters in Library and Information Science in various colleges are:
- Daulat Ram College, Delhi INR 35,000-INR 62,000
- Gargi College, Delhi INR 24,000-INR 49,000
- Hindu College, Delhi INR 36,000-INR 53,000
- Hansraj College, Delhi INR 432-INR 15,000
Similarly it changes based on the value of the university.

B K Birla College of Arts, Science and Commerce, VMOU, Bon Secours College for Women, Delhi University and IGNOU are the top Library and Information Science colleges in India.

No, there is no certain age limit for pursuing Master of Library and Information Science. Candidates need to fulfil the eligibility criteria like :
Having bachelor's degree from a recognised university or college in any stream
A minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
A background in library Science may be preferred
Entrance exam scores
Letters of recommendation
Statement of educational and professional objectives
