BA LLB is a five year degree program. The course is an integration of arts and law. Any student who has completed class 12th can join this course.
BBA LLB is also a five year program. But, it is an integration of management and business subjects and law. However, the career opportunities for both these courses are same. These graduates can work as lawyer, legal advisor, law reporter, legal assistant, etc. depending on their skills and experience.
Which course is better?
If one wants to practice law oneself, then BA LLB will be the good choice. After this course one can specialize in the various fields like accounting, taxation, etc. The courses like CA, CS and ICWAI are meant for these specializations.
If one wants to work with the management and business fields, then BBA LLB will be more advantageous. These graduates will mainly opt for corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, etc.

According to the eligibility criteria of DU LLB entrance, candidates should be a graduate from University of Delhi or any other Indian or Foreign university recognised as equivalent to and by the Delhi University.
Candidates should also meet the minimum score required in the qualifying graduation degree examination. The minimum qualifying marks in degree examination for different categories is given below
General As per DU LLB 2017 eligibility criteria, the candidates belonging to General category need to secure a minimum of 50 per cent marks in the qualifying degree-level examination.
OBC Those applying for DU LLB 2017 under OBC category need to have scored a minimum of 45 per cent marks in the degree level examination.
SC The candidates from SC category need to have scored at least 40 per cent marks in the qualifying examination.
ST The ST category candidates also need to have obtained a minimum of 40 per cent marks in the qualifying examination.
PwD The PwD category candidates should have obtained 45 per cent and more marks in the degree-level examination to be considered eligible for DU LLB entrance exam.
CW The candidates applying for Delhi University LLB exam under CW category should also obtain 45 per cent and more marks in the degree-level examination, as per DU LLB 2017 eligibility criteria.
DU LLB Eligibility Criteria 2017: Age Bar
The central university has modified the age norms of DU LLB 2017 eligibility criteria, following a notification of Bar Council of India (BCI). According to the revised eligibility criteria of DU LLB 2017, candidates need to be 30 years of age and below as on July 1 of the admission year, if applying for three-year LLB programmes. The SC, ST and OBC candidates are to be given a relaxation of five years on the upper age limit as on the same date, according to DU LLB 2017 eligibility.

The candidates appearing in the final year degree examination (university examination) of 10+2+3 year pattern can also fill the Delhi University law application form and will be considered eligible for DU LLB 2017, however their admissions will be subjected to the fulfilment of minimum marks and age required for DU LLB admissions.

Higher Studies options after BA LLB:
There are many options in higher education after an integrated course in BA LLB. Students can opt for LLM or MBA after this. Those interested in a career in teaching field can choose LLM and those want to divert their career to flexible areas and to gain experience with corporate can choose MBA.

Job Opportunities for BA LLB Graduates:
Most of the law graduates work as an apprentice while they are in final year of their studies. After gaining experience as an apprentice, they can take part in the examinations organised by Law Society. Those clearing this examination can work as articled clerks. These professionals can work under the experienced advocates as junior advocates and can gain several years of experience. Once they gain this experience they will be able to practice independently. Numerous opportunities are there in this field in both public and in private sectors.
Most of the law graduates prefer to work as a lawyer in reputed sectors. And for this, they need a license issued by Local/ State/ Central BAR Council. They can begin their career in government sectors as a lawyer in tax and labour departments, public prosecutors or in defence fields. The experienced ones can move up to the positions like Associate Attorney, Attorney, and Solicitor General etc. They can also in the teaching field, work for particular firms, organisations or family, in consulting agencies and even in the political field.
