As an alumnus of LPU, I feel proud to answer this question. I was a student in the B.Tech CSE of the 2012 batch, An Engineering programme that seamlessly articulates the concepts from basic Science to technology with relevant practice through lab and projects for building the problem-solving skills, keeping industry requirements in place. Students will develop competence in areas like programming, Database Management Systems, Networks and Security, Operating Systems, Cloud Computing, etc. B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering is related to algorithms, computation, programming languages, programme design, computer hardware, computer software, etc. It is a comprehensive course in computer systems and applications. The students who pursue the course of Computer Science Engineering are taught about design, the implementation as well as management of computer software and hardware.
1 Placements: Every year more than 500+ companies including national and multinational companies visit LPU for placement. A few of them are Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe, etc. In which are placed. The maximum package availed for CSE is 42 lacs. Per annum by Microsoft in 2020. LPU offers M.A. in Psychology and M.A. in Clinical Psychology. These two-year courses seek to provide the understanding and the answers to the complexity of human behavior with a broad focus on Psychological Testing, Psychopathology, Health Psychology, Positive Psychology, Organizational Behavior, etc. The eligibility for the course is Pass with 50% aggregate marks in Bachelors Degree (any discipline) or equivalent. The course seeks to create in students a better understanding of interpersonal issues and interpersonal behavior. Students should demonstrate advanced knowledge of the major theoretical perspectives and principles across various fields of psychology. The course aims at making the student apply critical and creative thinking, skeptical inquiry, and a scientific approach to mitigate problems related to different psychological issues and demonstrate counseling skills aimed at behavior modification. They should be able to effectively write and present case histories of people with psychological issues and apply different assessment tools to assess various aspects of behavior including personality, intelligence, and other mental abilities. No, it is not compulsory to appear for CAT/MAT/GMAT to get admission in LPU. Eligibility Criteria (Qualifying Exam)
Pass with 55% aggregate marks in Bachelors degree (any discipline) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPU NEST or CAT or MAT or XAT or NMAT or CMAT and Interview or Completed Company Secretary CS from Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) or Completed Chartered Accountancy CA from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) or Completed Cost & Management Accountancy (CMA) from Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI). After qualifying in LPU NEST Final Selection parameters are as following, (I) Write Essays (20% weightage) - 2 Essays (ii) Appear for Personal Interview (60% weightage) (iii) Work Experience (20% weightage). .
