I Agree. IGNOU is the world's largest University as far as students strength is concerned. ofcourse the standard is not very good. But a lot also depends on teh student. If you need a degree for your career growth, go to IGNOU. If you wish to start your career based on the degree, go for a full time course from a good college or University. Distance education is not a good choice if you have to start your career based on that degree.

I think you are still qualified to pursue Economics in your BA and study further to do your MA Economics . there is no problem for you in any way.
