Yes, definitely ! You need to qualify either GATE or Institute specific exams. A few institutes offer integrated M.Tech + Ph.D. option you can explore that option. JNU, BHU, IARI, IITs are a good option.

After doing your B.Sc. In Biochemistry, I would suggest you to go for the same specialisation in M.Sc. As well I. e. M.Sc. In Biochemistry. According to me, if we talk about the scope, Biochemistry is better somehow. After your M.Sc. You can think working with in field of Medical, Agriculture, Public Health Care, Forensic Environment etc. As there is a lot of scope of research.
