Both are very good, now it depends on your interest and personality. IN microbiology if you like to research and want to sit on a lab for long hours busy with sample working 24/7 mostly no holidays on weekends. And if you want to be detective like solving crime cases, you will get some new experiences everyday. Need to be good at communication salary is more as compared to microbiology with less hectic working hours.

But if you are in a institute where NSS is active and you get the opportunities to work for some social cause ,you are involved in organizing many activities at college level then this helps in shaping your personality to a greater extent.
