Colleges accepting IIT JAM 2018 scores/ranks for admission are mentioned at the link provided below. Candidates are informed of the total number of seats available for different M.Sc courses offered at all participating institutes. A total of 15 IITs, 16 NITs, and two Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs) accept JAM scores for M.Sc admissions:

UGC exam has few science streams. M.Sc in organic chemistry would come under the chemical Science stream. This exam would cover questions from different Science streams which come under chemical Science like organic and inorganic chemistry.
The exam is for 2 1/2 hours and has two papers. The first paper will contain general science questions. This will be common for all exam streams of NET. Paper 2 will have short answer questions and this is specific to each Science stream. This will be in descriptive form. Yes, women students can get admission for M.Sc statistics programme at Loyola College (LC, Chennai). Basic eligibility requires its candidates to have passed B.Sc. Statistics / Mathematics.
Admission guidelines:
The Candidates are selected on the basis of rank and marks scored in the TANCET 2016 exam. The TANCET, conducted by Anna University on behalf of Tamil Nadu government, is conducted annually for admissions in PG courses. The exam is not only for the students of Tamil Nadu, but for anyone who fulfills the eligibility criteria.

On behalf of University Grants Commission (UGC), Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducts National Eligibility Test (NET). UGC NET is conducted twice a year in order to select candidates for only Assistant Professor or both Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor in Indian universities and colleges. The higher studies options after M.Sc zoology are:-
1. Master of Philosophy in Zoology
2. Master of Philosophy in Life Science
3. Ph.D. in Zoology
4. Ph.D. in Life Science - If you want to be a lecturer, you can appear for NET (National Eligibility Test) after your M.Sc. You could also try to get a government job for which entrance exams are available.
