There are many opportunities available in IT field for M.Sc. Physics graduates. Many IT companies such as Infosys, Wipro and CTS recruit M.Sc. Physics graduates for software jobs. The exam is for 2 1/2 hours and has two papers. The first paper will contain general science questions. This will be common for all exam streams of NET. Paper 2 will have short answer questions and this is specific to each Science stream. This will be in descriptive form. Admission guidelines:
The Candidates are selected on the basis of rank and marks scored in the TANCET 2016 exam. The TANCET, conducted by Anna University on behalf of Tamil Nadu government, is conducted annually for admissions in PG courses. The exam is not only for the students of Tamil Nadu, but for anyone who fulfills the eligibility criteria.

On behalf of University Grants Commission (UGC), Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducts National Eligibility Test (NET). UGC NET is conducted twice a year in order to select candidates for only Assistant Professor or both Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor in Indian universities and colleges. 4. Ph.D. in Life Science - If you want to be a lecturer, you can appear for NET (National Eligibility Test) after your M.Sc. You could also try to get a government job for which entrance exams are available.
