KL University in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh has started the Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering in the academic year 19992000. The Department has a well-equipped Embedded Systems Lab and a Research and Development wing. Apart from this, the department also has a computer centre that is equipped with the state-of-art computer system. The Department stands tall with the latest achievements its students have made. To mention some, the percentage of students selected for the on-campus jobs offered by CTS, Wipro, TCS, INFOSYS, DSL Technologies, ADP, HCL, Caritor, Oracle, GATE Accenture etc. Besides academics, The Department also excelled in sports and other extra-curricular activities. Active Research is going on in Image Processing, Embedded Systems and Web Technologies.

M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering: BE / B.Tech or equivalent degree in Computer Science and Engineering / Information Technology or MCA with a minimum aggregate of 50%. M Tech in Material Science and Technology: BE / B.Tech or equivalent degree in Metallurgy/ Mechanical/ Chemical/ Production/ Industrial (or) M.Sc. (Physics /Chemistry / Material Science / Nano Science and Technology) with a minimum aggregate of 50%. M Tech in Power Plant Engineering and Energy Management: BE / B.Tech or equivalent degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Electrical and Electronics Engineering/instrumentation with a minimum aggregate of 50%. M Tech in Power Electronics and Power systems: BE / B.Tech or equivalent degree in Electrical/Electrical and Electronics/Electronics and communication engineering with a minimum aggregate of 50% or M.Sc. Electronics from a recognized university with a minimum aggregate of 50%. M Tech in Structural Engineering: BE / B Tech or equivalent degree in Civil engineering with a minimum aggregate of 50%. A relaxation of 5% marks in Graduation will be made for ST/SC/OBC/PWD candidates. Performance in GATE and/or OP Jindal University entrance test and personal interview. Provisional admission will be given to students who are awaiting results - based on past performance. Candidates may also be required to produce letter (s) of recommendation from their previous teachers. General: These are full-time programs and will require students to dedicate themselves completely to the taught and research schedule. It is advisable for students to stay on campus in hostels which will also facilitate them in taking up assistantship opportunities. M.Tech students will be given single room accommodation subject to availability.
