There is no direct admission at Kurukshetra University for any undergraduate or postgraduate programmes. However, Diploma Polytechnic students can take direct admission in the second-year. All admissions at KU are based on merit or through an entrance exam.

Candidates can't avail entry to the B.Sc. course in Maharana Pratap Horticultural University (MHU) unless they clear the entrance exam, the name of which is ICAR AIEEA. The examination tests the candidates' knowledge in the relevant subjects: Biology, Physics, and Chemistry. Apart from this, the candidates must have a percentage in their 10+2 examinations. Hence, taking up the ICAR AIEEA is nothing but a must for getting admission into MHU for the B.Sc. courses.
