It depends on your interest and expertise, which subject will be easier for you to grasp, however, in my opinion, as a Film and Video Design student, Video Editing is an easy subject to understand. Video Editing is a subject that requires equal practical training making it easier to grasp the theoretical part as well.

Depending on the course level, you'll get several options for Film and Video Design elective subjects. Some basic elective subjects covered by colleges include advanced cinematography, sound design, motion graphics, video editing techniques, scriptwriting, production design, etc.
Every subject caters to a specific field of work in the film industry. Choosing the right one depends on your interests, career goals, and expertise.

It depends on the course level you choose. Most colleges offering BDes and MDes programs in Film and Video Design conduct entrance exams. However, if you go for a certification or UG Diploma course in Film and Video Design you may get admission on the merit system.

Here are some reasons why opting for a Film and Video Design programme is worth it.

  • Creative Expression: Through the use of film and video design, people may visually tell stories, arouse feelings, and deliver messages.
  • Multidisciplinary talents: Learning set design, costume design, graphic design, and cinematography are just a few of the multidisciplinary talents that come with pursuing film and video design.
  • Story Telling: Facilitates the art of visual storytelling, in which designers are integral to the story's development through the production of visually captivating and engaging surroundings.
