2444 students were placed and 800 companies visited during UPES placement 2025. The highest package recorded was 52 LPA. Earlier in 2024, the highest package was 49 LPA. The placement rate in 2025 was above 90%.

Yes, Pondicherry University offers both B.Ed and M.Sc Mathematics programs.
The B.Ed programme is offered through regular classes and the M.Sc Mathematics programme is offered through distance learning.
For admission to the B.Ed program, you need to have completed a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognised university.

You have completed your post graduation in Physics then I recommend you to opt physics as your major subject in B.Ed. Because you have a strong basic knowledge and you can teach physics to other students. And also you can opt mathematics also this subject are more likely related.
After that there more job opportunities also like physics tutor, physics teacher in government or private college/schools.
