What is WBJEE JELET?
West Bengal Joint Entrance Lateral Engineering Test (WB JELET) is conducted for admission to the second year (third semester) of Bachelor's Degree courses in Engineering/Technology/Pharmacy except for Architecture in the government and private colleges of West Bengal.

Marking Scheme | Category I - 1 mark will be given for every correct answer. ¼ marks will be deducted for every wrong answer. Category II - 2 marks will be allotted for marking all correct options. For any combination of answers containing one or more incorrect options, the said answer will be treated as incorrect, and it will yield zero. For partially correct answers, i.e., when all correct options are not marked and also no incorrect options are marked, then the marks awarded will be = 2 x (no of correct options marked/total number of actually correct options). |

JELET 2023 Application Form
The authorities released the WB JELET 2023 application form online on December 29, 2022. During the process of filling out the JELET application form 2023, the candidates had to fill out their personal, academic and communication details. Only the candidates who submitted the JELET application form before the final date i.e., January 17 will be eligible for the entrance examination. While filling out the application form of JELET 2023, the candidates also had to select their preferred exam centres. JELET 2023 correction facility was open from January 19 to 20.
JELET 2023 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates were advised to check the JELET eligibility criteria before applying for the examination. Candidates should meet the criteria such as the qualifying exam, age limit, percentage, etc. The eligibility criteria for different streams are different. Eligibility criteria for Diploma holder candidates
- Candidates should have passed a diploma with at least 45% (40% for reserved category) or equivalent CGPA in the concerned branch from AICTE approved institute or university
- For admission to Jadavpur University, candidates should have obtained 60% aggregate (45% for reserved category) or equivalent CGPA in the concerned branch from AICTE approved institute or university
- There is no upper age limit for diploma holders
For diploma holders in Pharmacy seeking admission into the degree course in Pharmacy: Candidates will also be eligible for admission to the first year in case the vacancies in the second year (lateral entry) exhausted
Eligibility criteria for BSc holder candidates
- Candidates should have passed BSc from a recognized institute with a 45% aggregate (40% for reserved category)
- Candidates should have completed Class 12 with Mathematics as the main subject
- If candidates got admission then they have clear Engineering Mechanics and Engineering Graphics/Drawing along with the second-year subjects
- BSc holder candidates are not eligible for admission to the Pharmacy course
- BSc holder candidates are also not eligible for admission to Jadavpur University
Eligibility criteria for both Diploma and BSc holder candidates
- Candidates will also be eligible for admission to the first year of the Engineering programme if the seats in the first year remain vacant and the vacancies in the second year (lateral entry) exhausted
- However, candidates have to meet the above-mentioned eligibility criteria
JELET 2023 Syllabus
WBJEEB has released the official JELET syllabus 2023 online. Candidates can now check the subjects, topics and units that have to be studied for the entrance examination through the syllabus of JELET 2023. There is a higher chance of scoring well if the candidate has checked and understood the syllabus before commencing their preparation process.
