No, CAT is not compulsory for admission to PGDM course at Pillai Business School. As the college accept other national-level exam scores as well, such as MAT/XAT/GMAT/MAT/ATMA/ABSAT. Thus, candidate without CAT score can apply with a valid score in either of the mentioned exam. Further, the final selection is based on candidates performance in other selection rounds as well.

Yes, CAT would also take you to an MBA, and there is no upper age limit with regards to applying for CAT or MBA admissions. Many business schools in India, including IIMs, accept candidates with very different backgrounds and work experience, even those having worked for quite some time, such as in pharma sales and marketing.
With that much time spent in sales and marketing, your profile could really be a strong asset to your MBA application. Because of this, experience in leadership and understanding the industry may help in your application process and even during the interview, primarily for those in managerial position-occupied MBA

Yes, ISB Hyderabad and Mohali also accept the NMAT scores of students who are seeking to get into their different programs. For the academic year 2025-2027, it is expected that the cut-off for NMAT scores at ISB should be at least 140 and above. Candidates whose scores lie above this are likely to be short-listed to the next stages of selection, including personal interviews.
ISB also evaluates the GMAT and GRE scores. Cutoffs range from 710+ on GMAT and 320+ on GRE. However, cutoffs vary from time to time based on variables like the number of applicants, performance in entrance exams, etc.

For admission to pursue an MBA in the Dr. D. Y. Patil School of Management situated in Pune, students have to score high in the MAT.
The cut-offs keep changing yearly depending on various factors such as the number of applicants or the overall performance of the applicants. It is likely that scoring anywhere around 600-700 in MAT would be considered a safe score for entry into the school.
That is why the school allows applicants to present MAT scores as part of the criteria for admission, which is the reason why higher percentiles significantly increase the chances of getting into the school.

With a 68 percentile in CAT, getting into one of the new IIMs (like IIM Kashipur, IIM Rohtak, IIM Trichy, etc.) could be challenging, even under the OBC category. While new IIMs generally have slightly lower cut-offs compared to the older ones, they still maintain high academic and professional standards. A 68 percentile might not meet the required cut-offs for these institutes. However, it's worth checking the exact cut-off trends for the specific IIMs you are interested in, as they may vary each year.
