Almost every business school in USA requires applicants to have atleast 2 years work experience. So, the first thing after you complete your B.Tech is to get a job and do well in your work place, demonstrate leadership and good managerial skills. Academically, you must do well too but if you are an average student, don't worry much as universities in US evaluate on an overall basis and not just on one factor. You must also take the GMAT or GRE and TOEFL or IELTS.

MBA abroad including USA will require to first gain some work experience, at least 2 years is recommended. Applicants must also take the GMAT exam to be considered for an MBA programme. TOEFL or IELTS would be required too. If you are willing to pursue your MBA from the US, do well in your academics and build a good profile, take part in extra curriculars and gain work experience first. Let me ask you a very simple question- Which sector do you want to settle in? You would be required to answer this simple question to the university and MBA admissions committee too. Which branch of MBA can be be decided only if you know what you want. Please share your career plans and interest, education background too for better guidance.

If you complete your MBA from top ranked one, its a good idea. You will have plenty of opportunities outside USA and this is the scenario. Surveys are showing that toppers (Indians) from top ranked universities like Kellogg and Carnegie Mellon too are seeking and getting jobs in other countries like Australia, Switzerland, etc. The idea of an MBA and then working in US is only a matter of luck. In terms of value, yes, your degree will be valued globally.
