In the MHRD- NIRF rankings, LPU Mittal School of Business has been ranked among the Top 40 B-Schools in India, rubbing shoulders with IIM Ahmedabad. In the Punjab region, LPUs Management department is ranked No 1, even ahead of Punjab University and leaving IIM Ranchi, BITs and many other National Institutions affiliated under Government of India behind. In the Outreach and Inclusivity category, LPU has been ranked No 1 amongst all ranked institutions, beating all the Iims including IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Bangalore. LPU offers specialised MBA accredited by ACBSP (USA). The student will be given an option to go for 4 weeks study tour to USA/ European countries or any other country. Coming to rankings, MHRD-NIRF 2018 Ranking ASSOCHAM (Associated Chamber of Commerce and Industry of India) rated LPU as the best private university in 2017 (for the 3rd time) with regards to placements. Zee News Survey rated LPU as 11th best in India in terms of placements. Around 450+ companies visit every year for such activities and campus-recruitment of students from LPU. LPU students have also availed opportunities of Placements in government services like Indian Army, Indian Navy.

Placements in our college were relatively good. About 95% of the students got placed in the college placements. Companies like Nestle, Honeywell, Federal Bank, and City Union Bank visited the college to offer placements. Almost 100% of the students got summer internships from the college. The members of the placement cell took complete responsibility of summer internships and placements. Infrastructure: Our college has fully air-conditioned classrooms and labs. High-speed Wi-Fi facility is provided in the college and hostels. Food is something that we need to compromise a little. The library is equipped with all the reference books, magazines, journals, fiction and non-fiction books. I haven't faced any issues related to the infrastructure of the college. Faculty: Almost all the faculty members are highly skilled and experienced with knowledge of various fields which helps them to provide quality education to students. Presentations are mostly preferred for teaching. Trimester type of curriculum is followed which makes students fully committed to the course.

Yes, it can be. Career switchers like doctors, commerce graduates (without maths background) and quite a many people opt to pursue a career in management despite coming from a non-maths background. Quantitative knowledge is just one aspect of an MBA programme and tests certain degree of potential and intelligence in maths. One, at the entrance exams, two, when you're in the first year (application based simple mathematics) of your MBA. Don't rule out a passionate career decision because of a hurdle as small as tackling the load of mathematics. That can be worked at. See the underlying value and if it appeals to you, go for it. Remember- Your past doesn't equal your future. Maybe you weren't interested in mathematics at all but now when you take it post realizing that MBA is what is up for grab, you'll soar higher and hit the ace.
