Yes, of course, there is. A one-year PGDM obviously is not equivalent to an MBA. PGPM is an award programme, not a degree.

It's not that complicated actually. First of all, you have to fix a specific country. Then, you have to see which all universities offer MBA courses in that country. Then, check the ranking of the University and make sure that it has a decent reputation. Regarding the exams, some universities may require you to write a GMAT exam and obtain a cutoff score in that. The cut-off carries according to University. You will get the details in the website of the University. Some universities might only ask for a cutoff regarding your undergraduate results. Pursuing an MBA is not a big deal these days, but you should make it clear that you pursue it from a well-reputed institute so that you can have good opportunities when you complete your degree. GLA University is one of the best and you can afford, as it is within your range. If you little bit exceed your range, KSOM can be the best option. It will cost you almost 13-14 lacs.

Nowadays, most of the good and reputed universities in the country conduct their own MBA entrance tests and decide the cut-off on the basis of which they select the applicants for the students. In some of the colleges, you may have to appear for GD and PI before final selection. Some of the good colleges are GLA in Mathura, KSOM in Bhubaneswar. And the most common is through CAT but you will have to score a definitely high percentile.

If your percentile is in 90%-95% bracket, you can choose from a wide range of top institutes. At one hand, you can expect calls from the new IIMS and on the other hand, there are noted institutes like XIMB, Great Lakes Institute of Management and Goa Institute of Management to name a few.
