The telephonic round is usually the first elimination round and is very basic in nature. Through this, the recruiter judges the confidence, communication skills and your thought processes. The questions can vary but the telephonic interview normally includes 'How are you? ', 'Tell me something about yourself', why this institute? , why should we choose you? , strength and weakness, educational background, family background, etc. You can do wonders if you are confident and make sense to the recruiter. For the telephonic round, a date or time slot or both will be allotted to you by the authorities and you will receive a call. Make sure that you are at a quiet place while appearing for the interview and your voice should be clear. Do not keep speaking but also listen to the questions properly, stop when the recruiter starts speaking. The perks of having a telephonic round is that the person cannot see you, hence, you can use a cheat sheet (a paper with relevant written information) in front of you.
