Digital Marketing: As the world is getting more digitized in every aspect, digital marketing is a booming career. The scope of Digital Marketing is wide which involves branding, social media marketing, content marketing, email marketing,video production, web designing,app development, search engine optimization,etc.Nowadays, almost all companies are using digital marketing to build their brand, generate leads and sell.
Direct Marketing: Direct Marketing involves reaching customers directly using their phone numbers,email ids,purchase histories, etc. and communicate about new product or services. Many service provider companies send automated follow-up emails to be in regular touch with the customers and also use Google Ad Word, Google my Business,Facebook advertisements, content marketing,organic social media, coupon deal sites,email marketing, webinars etc. to grow their business.
Market Research: Market research involves researching about current trends so as to understand their consumers, their needs, purchasing habits and how they view the product about the current trends. Just like in many companies, market research is evolving by the speed of light because of the changing technological and social trends, you can bring lots of new ideas to the table, and develop them further via the profound knowledge of experienced professionals. Some research is done to understand the competitive, technological, social, economic, cultural, political or legal environments of the market.
Advertising: Advertising facilitates large-scale marketing so as to create brand reinforcement and brand identity. Various forms such as Electronic media (Radio/TV), Print media (Newspaper/Magazine), Direct Mail, etc. are used to promote the product. By assigning the right amount of money to the right channels, help you generate potential customers.
Brand Management: Brands have a powerful influence, not only on customer engagement but also on the management of an enterprise. The scope of brand management involves brand positioning, cost, customer satisfaction and being aware of the competitors. Many companies manage their brand through public relations, publicity, phone directories etc.
Public Relations: Public Relations involves interacting with clients on daily basis. People who work as public relations managers are known as the spokesperson for the company and are involved in creating a choiceable brand image.

The MBA Programme, administered by the Department of Business Administration Guwahati University is a professional interdisciplinary course of study in Management.
Eligibility:
A Bachelor's degree of 10+2+3 pattern with 50% marks in aggregate or in Honors/Major subject (if any) from Guwahati University or any other recognized University. Those who have appeared in the final semester of the Bachelor's Degree or any equivalent examination may also apply, provided they will be able to meet the eligibility condition prior to 31st August 2018.
Selection Procedure:
Eligible applicant will have to appear in a written test, meant to evaluate their quantitative aptitude, data interpretation, general awareness and proficiency in English, to be conducted by Guwahati University.
The final selection will be based on the applicants overall performance in the written test, group discussion and personal interview.

Both degrees in two important fields one in technology and the other in Business. Both are equally important for the development of country. Both are very highly regarded in the society. Coming to your career, if you select MBA or B.Tech after your Bachelors, then your job opportunities are more than a student with just Bachelor's degree. For that reason most of the students do their B.Tech or MBA after their Bachelors and some do for their pleasure. And, mainly doing Masters will also fetch for research work, research which is key for the development of the field can be done with Masters only. So selecting Master's degree in Business or Technology depends on your interest. If you are very much attracted to business, then it will be good option for your career and also for your job prospectus. MBA jobs pay higher to you than B.Tech Jobs coming to salary issue, this is because of High risk in MBA.
