Usually, good MCA institutes across the country have an entrance test that you need to clear to procure an admission. Requirement to appear in the entrance test includes: Maths till class 12th and basic knowledge of computers.
So, as you can see, most of these institutes do NOT require you to be an expert in computer science or any software language. However, the entrance tests to good MCA institutes are pretty competitive, so you have to prepare for them. The syllabus for these tests might be different for different institutes, so you must get in touch directly with the institute of your choice to get detailed information on the syllab

You can go for MCA. MBA is always not necessary for everybody. If you get good opening after MCA, then do join the corporate and gain work experience.
