The gap between MCA and graduation wont affect employment opportunities if you have some work experience but a long gap without any work experience in between can create some problem.

You should be able to complete your graduation within the defined time period i.e if you are pursuing BSc you should be able to complete it within 3 years. If the backlog extends your degree duration, then it might affect your admission in a good MCA college, so try and clear your backlog within the defined course duration
All the best

MCA is a 3 year programme where as M.Sc. IT is a 2 year programme. MCA covers the software and its application related field while M.Sc. IT covers both the hardware and software field. A person with strong background in computational and scientific field is only able to opt for this course. Those who have pursued a graduation in IT or computer technology alone can opt for M.Sc. IT, while MCA can be done by any science graduate.
Both the courses are equally good, it just depends on your interest that which specific domain you want to learn.
Hope this helps. Please feel free to revert. Click on the thumbs up, if you found this usef

But it is wise to take MBA after getting 1-2+ years of experience so that you will get better job profile and pay scale after completing MBA as compared to a fresher MBA graduate.
