Not at all. The BTech Mechatronics Engineering syllabus is not the same for all colleges because each college has its individual curriculum guidelines that include core subjects, specialised programme electives, lab classes and capstone projects. The core subjects might share similarity but the electives offered are different, along with the type of projects and lab work focus.

The syllabus for BTech in Mechatronics Engineering is a mix of both core and elective subjects. The core subject modules are compulsory for you to study in each semester because they give you foundational knowledge of the field, leaving little to no scope for customization.
Talking about the elective subjects in particular, you can pick the subjects based on your interests and understanding - the ones that seem easy to understand and fun to explore, can help you score good marks, and are relevant as per market demands.

You should start your preparation as early as possible, at least 6 to 8 months before the final exam is scheduled to take place, so that you have enough time in hand to go through all the syllabus sections, cover high-weightage exam topics on priority, practice previous years' question papers, attempt mock tests, and have time for revision at the end.
