Medical College Eligibility

Qualifications for an M.Sc. at Kasturba Medical College (KMC), Mangalore are as follows:
Academic requirements:

A Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in a suitable Science program, such as Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biology, or a related field, is required.
A minimum of 50% of your qualifying degree's total points are required.
A minimum of 50% in MBBS, BDS, B.Sc. Nursing, or an equivalent qualification, is needed to enroll in the M.Sc. Genetic Counseling program.
Admission to Manipal University's M.Sc. programs at KMC, Mangalore, is normally determined by the results of the Manipal Entrance Test (MET).
The admission test for the M.Sc. Genetic Counseling programme may be NEET PG.

Candidates must meet the course wise specific eligibility requirement for admission in the MSc programme at Kasturba Medical College. Candidates who have passed BSc degree examination (with at least one subject of Biological Sciences)/ BSc Nursing/ BSc Allied Health Sciences/ MBBS/ BAMS/ BHMS/ BPT/ BPharm with minimum 50% aggregate are eligible to apply for MSc Anatomy/ Biochemistry/ Microbiology/ Physiology or Pharmacology course.

Candidates who have passed BSc degree examination in Reproduction/ Zoology/ Microbiology/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Bioscience/ Physiology as one of the subjects with minimum 60% aggregate can apply for MSc Clinical Embryology/ Reproductive Genetics or Reproductive and Developmental Biology course offered at Manipal Medical College.

Candidates who have MBBS/ BDS/ BSc Nursing/ BSc with (Human Genetics/ Human Biology/ Medical Biotechnology/ Molecular Biology)/ Allied Health Science programmes with minimum 50% aggregate can apply for MSc Genetic counselling course.

The Eligibility criteria for MBBS at Medical college of Kolkata is pretty much similar to other goverment medical colleges. The MBBS course seats are allotted on the basis of NEET-UG score and rank. Therefore, the candidates will have to apply for the NEET-UG examination conducted by the NTA for the admissions for MBBS. After the NEET-UG results, the cutoff is released by the MCC or the Medical counselling committee based on various factors. Candidates who cleared the cutoff marks set by the college will be called for the admissions process. The cutoff differs each year. The candidates must have also secured a minimum of 50% in Physics, chemistry, biology and English in their class 10 and 12 examination. The cutoff scores depends on the individual candidates as they vary for each categories. Without qualifying for the NEET cutoff it is not possible t get admissions to any MBBS colleges in India. It is difficult to get admissions to top government medical college which are below 500 to 600.
