The eligibilty is:

  1. Must have a 10+2 or equivalent Diploma from a recognised board, with Physics, Biology/Biotechnology, Chemistry, and English as core courses.
  2. Aspirers with a Class 12 or equivalent are also eligible to apply for NEET.

The class 12 percentage that is required for the NEET exam is different for each category and is mentioned below. NEET qualification criteria in class 12 are simply aggregate marks for PCB topics.

Based upon your score in NEET 2022, and the previous year cutoff chances are less for admission in government medical college under all india quota and state level quota.

You may have chances in private college under state quota.

Use NEET college predictor to check you MBBS/BDS chance in deemed university and state quota seat based on NEET AIR.

A score ranging between 450-500 in NEET is taken as a safe score for BDS admission in a government college.

Students under the general category need to score 50 percentile in NEET for BDS admission, whereas the 45 percentile is for reserved category students.

Though you have not mentioned the category and the state name but nevertheless .Find the general details related to the expected cut off for different categories for getting admission:

  1. For UR: 420 and above
  2. For OBC: 400 and above
  3. For SC: 350 and above
  4. For ST: 310 and above

NOTE: These are the expected cut offs. The cut off varies from state to state. It may be less for other states.

With a NEET score of 259 in the General Category, it may be challenging to secure admission to government or highly sought-after medical colleges in India. However, there are private and deemed universities that may consider candidates with slightly lower scores.

To assess your chances of admission, it's impor

It will be nearly impossible to fetch a college in All India quota. However, you have high chances of getting lower ranked government colleges in your state. So, search for colleges in your state and follow your state's counselling process for admission.
