It depends on the specific course and how many seats each college offers. Popular courses like BMLT and BPT tend to have more demand than niche specializations. Since most admissions go by Class 12 marks, a strong academic record definitely helps. Government colleges typically fill up faster due to their lower fees. Apply early and keep multiple options ready in case of high competition.

Hospital jobs are no longer the only jobs. You can work in diagnostic centers, nursing home, rehab centers and even NGOs. Some of the paramedical graduates go on eventually join medical equipment companies or research organizations too. Teaching in paramedical institutes is another option if you want to take up academics at a later stage. The field is not as restricted as most of us think.

Starting salaries genuinely vary based on your specific course and qualification level. Diploma holders typically start around INR 15,000 to 25,000 a month in entry-level roles. Bachelor's degree holders can expect somewhere between INR 25,000 and 50,000 monthly starting out. With a few years of experience, salaries can go up to INR 35,000 to 75,000 or more. Specializing further in a niche area usually boosts your earning potential even more.

Not always, most colleges here go by your Class 12 marks directly. CBSE 12th is the most commonly accepted qualifying criteria across paramedical colleges in Patna. Some private institutes do conduct their own basic screening test or interview though. So it's much less stressful compared to NEET-based courses like MBBS. Just make sure your 12th percentage meets each college's minimum eligibility criteria.
