For an OBC candidate, 40th percentile is must to qualify. But to secure admission to a good medical college one should try to score above 500. But try scoring above 540 which would get you a sure govt. medical seat.

Depends on you. Well, self-study is the best thing but at the end of the day, you need good guidance.
If you have a good guide then you don't need to go for coaching.
If not then join any coaching.

No, you need at least 400+ marks to get MBBS in even private colleges but if you want to do BDS then 340 marks would be enough.
Good luck!

There are many books. I would suggest you to move into the book shop and go through books for NEET, JIPMER, NCERT etc., and then try understanding which one do you feel your comfort in. There will be books which have solved question papers in it, do buy them.

Though NEET is conducted by CBSE board, NCERT textbooks will be the best options.

I think you know that to practice in India you have to qualify MCI screening test. And, passing this exam is tougher than NEET, so prepare for NEET.
USA, New Zealand, Canada, UK are best option for pursuing medical degree (MD), because there is no need to qualify MCI screening test. You can practice (clinical) in India.
