BENGALURU: The maximum annual fee for a first-year Indian student of an undergraduate MBBS course in a private medical college in Karnataka cannot exceed Rs 6.8 Lacs a year. For a dental course, it's capped at Rs 4.6 Lacs.

Doing MBBS is abroad is only worth if u cant get any seat in India as the quality of education u get out of India like china and Russian countries are very low, teachers teaching there many cant communicate properly in english so there is a communication gap between students and faculty.

You can see minimum fee in private medical college is 6 Lacs per annum. And if we talk about maximum fee it is in deemed medical college. You are having sufficient time to get good marks in NEET UG exam.

Only verbal ragging is possible. So answer of this question is that ragging is not much prevalent in medical colleges now but it is prevalent in post graduation medical courses but at that time you would not be same person who you were in 1st year MBBS. Ragging is now only means of communication with senior student.

In BDS you will have more chances of income as compared to BPT but you will have to open a clinic for that. In BPT you need not open a clinic of yours but get associated with several hospitals or health centers or even with sports teams. Both career options are good.

There are no direct placements after MBBS as most people opt for post graduation courses. However, after completing MBBS from AIIMS Delhi, getting a job as a general physician in most of the private medical colleges becomes easy. These jobs have salaries around 60 - 80 thousand per month initially.
