Both of these are very different courses, but yes, you can surely pursue designing along with medicine. All you need to do is take out some time and for designing and pursue it simultaneously. If you happen to become more interested in the same, then the best part is you may pursue the same and leave medicine.

If you have the relevant education background and meet the admission requirements then you can choose it. Most importantly if this area falls under your interest you should go ahead and apply.
