 KGMU admissions are both merit and entrance-based depending upon the level and type of the course one chooses. For BSc courses, the university offers direct admission, while for other UG & PG courses, the admission is based on national-level entrance exams such as NEET PG, NEET SS, NEET UG, etc.

Rank 1454 in the INI CET and belonging to the OBC category, getting a seat in Obstetrics and Gynecology at any of the AIIMS can be difficult. AIIMS has very competitive cutoffs, and the seats in Obstetrics and Gynecology are generally among the most sought-after. While the cutoff might be higher at premier AIIMS such as Delhi and Mumbai, you stand a chance at the other AIIMS with lower cutoffs or in the reserved category. It is better to look into the trend of cutoffs and join the counseling process for a better understanding of seat availability.
