Admission to BDS programmes in India is determined solely by the national NEET exam. To be admitted into the course, prospective applicants must complete the 12th board exams with at least a 50% mark. Those who pass the entrance exam are required to attend the counselling sessions that are scheduled by the college. Candidates hoping to get into a government dental college for a BDS should strive for a minimum NEET 2023 score of about 450 marks, based on past trends. Furthermore, the 50th percentile in the unreserved category is typically the minimal requirement set by private dentistry colleges.
