In MHT-CET counselling, ACAP (Admission through Centralized Admission Process) happens after the main CAP rounds for vacant seats.

  • Purpose: ACAP lets candidates, including SC/ST/Reserved categories, apply for leftover seats in participating colleges.

  • Payment: Yes, you must pay the admission fee if allotted a seat through ACAP to confirm it.

  • Note: ACAP is optional you can choose to participate if you want a seat in vacant colleges after CAP rounds.

With 36 percentile in MHT-CET (Maharashtra), admission to top or mid-tier government colleges isn't possible, but you can still get Civil Engineering in several private or lesser-known institutes. Possible options include:

  • JSPM's Bhivarabai Sawant Institute of Technology, Pune

  • Trinity College of Engineering and Research, Pune

  • Zeal College of Engineering, Pune

  • Dr. D. Y. Patil School of Engineering, Lohegaon

  • G.H. Raisoni College of Engineering, Nagpur (low-demand round)

You can also explore management or institute-level quota seats for better chances.

With 86.9 percentile in MHT-CET and aiming for CSE, you can get admission in good private colleges but not top government ones. Possible options include DY Patil College of Engineering Pune, MIT-WPU, PCCOE, Sinhgad College of Engineering, and Sanjivani College of Engineering. You may also get CSE in colleges like JSPM's Rajarshi Shahu College of Engineering or Dr. D. Y. Patil Institute of Technology, Pimpri. Government colleges may offer CSE only if cutoff drops in later rounds. Your chances improve if you belong to OBC, NT, or female category and use home university quota effectively.

With a general rank of 7113 in MHT‑CET (General category, Maharashtra domicile assumed), here are some rough expectations for engineering admission:

  • You stand a good chance at reputable private colleges (especially in Pune or around) for branches like Mechanical, ECE, Electrical, or IT.

  • Getting into top government colleges (for branches like CSE/IT) will be very difficult, since those often close at much lower ranks.

  • If you are flexible in branch and college location, you should target mid‐tier to strong private colleges rather than elite institutes.

If you share your preferred city (Mumbai/Pune) and preferred branch (s), I can suggest

With 97 percentile in MHT-CET, you can get admission to reputed engineering colleges in Maharashtra, though top branches like CSE at COEP or VJTI may be difficult. You have good chances in colleges like PICT Pune, VIT Pune, SPIT Mumbai, and Thakur College of Engineering for branches such as IT, Electronics, or Electrical. Government colleges like WCE Sangli and SGGS Nanded are also possible options. Your chances improve based on category, gender, and domicile benefits. If you're flexible with branch or location, you can secure a strong college with good placement opportunities through CAP rounds.

Yes — with ~85.91 percentile in LVJS (Ladies Vimukta Jati / Denotified Tribes, a reserved female category), you can get Sanjivani College of Engineering for Computer Engineering, since the cutoff for LVJS “B.Tech Computer Engineering” in 2025 was 85.91.

With 120 marks in MHT-CET under the General category, you may not secure admission to top-tier government colleges like COEP Technological University, VJTI Mumbai, or SPIT Mumbai for high-demand branches such as Computer Engineering or IT. However, you have good chances in mid-tier private or university-affiliated colleges such as PCCOE Pune, MIT-WPU, DY Patil College of Engineering, and PICT Pune for branches like Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or possibly Electronics. You may also get lower-demand branches in top colleges through later rounds. Counseling strategy and branch flexibility will strongly influence your final admission out

With 120 marks in MHT-CET (General category), you are unlikely to get top colleges/branches (like CSE/IT in COEP, VJTI) but can aim for mid-tier private/university-affiliated colleges in less competitive branches.
