VIT Pune offers admission to BTech for Home State Quota through MHT CET scores for all specialisations. As per the last three years' MHT CET cutoff, VIT Pune cutoff 2023 for B.Tech. in Computer Engineering closed at 99.24, in 2022 at 99.02 and in 2021 at 98.81. BTech CE is followed by B.Tech. in Information Technology, which closed at 99.02 in 2023, at 98.69 in 2022 and at 98.64 in 2021. Candidates who have not appeared in MHT CET exam can participate in the counselling based on their JEE Main score, if appeared. Candidates who did not appeared either in JEE Main or MHT CET can participate in the counselling based on their class 12 percentage.
Admission in BTech courses in Maharashtra is given on the basis of three exams
- MHT CET
- JEE Main
- Class 12 Marks
A certain number of seats are reserved under Home-State quota and All India quota. All India quota seats are filled on the basis of JEE Main scores while Home-State quota seats are filled on through MHT CET scores. At the end of counselling/seat allotment on the basis of MHT

The MHT CET counselling 2024 will start on July 14, 2024. The MHT CET counselling will be conducted by Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell. The counselling and seat allotment process will be done in three rounds. Candidates who have appeared in MHT CET or JEE Main can participate in the counselling for the allotment of seats in BTech courses in Maharashtra.

Candidates who had appeared in MHT CET 2024 exam will be able to download their scorecard on June 10. MHT CET official website is mahacet.org. To download the scorecard, candidates will need to login on the website using their registered email ID and password. After login, MHT CET 2024 result scorecard will be displayed on the screen. The scorecard will have details of percentile scores secured by the candidate in each subject, aggregate percentile score and basic details like name, parents details, category.

The facility to raise objections is not provided for the final answer key. Candidates are advised to check thoroughly the provisional answer key and raise objections in the provisional key only, if they have any doubt to the answer provided by the CET Cell. The facility to challenge MHT CET provisional answer key will be open after the CET Cell releases the key. The challenge facility will be open for a period of 2-3 days.

The facility to raise objections in MHT CET answer key is opened once the official answer key is released by the CET Cell. Candidates need to login to the official website mahacet.org using their registered email ID and password for raising the objection.
After login, candidates will see the answers to all the questions given and the answer marked by the candidate. If any candidate wish to raise the objection to any official answer, they need to select the respective answer and click on the raise a dispute option. Candidates also have to pay INR 1000 per question as fees for raising the objection.

Candidates must carry the print-copy of their MHT CET admit card downloaded from the website. Candidates carrying admit card in their mobile phone will not be allowed to appear in the exam.
