Internships need not necessarily be paid as such. Very few companies pay their interns. As internships are just for more exposure in the market so it varies from company to company.

Hello Pratap,
The best in Mumbai or rather in whole India is IIT-Mumbai. You will have to clear JEE Mains first and then JEE Advanced.

Yes, though cutoff changes every year, last year it was 91 percentile.

Cutoffs change every year. Previous year for general category, the overall cut-off was 97%ile with 91%ile in each section.
The cut-offs show how niche NITIE is, but just to get things in perspective, NITIE is one of the best colleges in supply chain and operations in India, arguably the best at that. For 2016, the highest package was 37 LPA and the average package being 16 LPA. Chances are if you are an above average student at NITIE, you can easily bag 20 LPA paycheque. Salary doesn't depend only on your academics there are various parameters like your technical knowledge, internships, project and communication skills. Having a good percentage will definitely boost your chances of getting high salary. You can expect a starting salary between 3 lakh to 7 lakh.
