The eligibility criteria for the UG Diploma programs at the National Institute of Computer Arts (NICA) typically require candidates to have completed their 10+2 (or equivalent) from a recognized board in any stream. Since NICA focuses on creative fields such as graphic design, animation, and multimedia, a background in arts, design, or computer-related subjects is helpful but not mandatory. Admissions are usually open to individuals with a passion for digital arts and creativity, and the institute may not require specific entrance exams. However, basic computer skills and an interest in design and animation are often preferred.

The National Institute of Computer Arts (NICA) mostly refunds the course based on general policies established within such institutions, that is refunding the course fees should the cancellation happen before running of the program. Mostly, full refunds are issued minus some administrative processing fees depending upon the individual institution. When the course begins, refunds become relatively limited, and even then, they often can only be partial, once more under the specific terms of the institution.
