According to the available data, it is difficult to determine whether NID Bhopal is as good as National Institute of Design, Assam. However, both institutes are part of the National Institute of Design system established by the Indian government to promote design education in the country. 1. The timed multiple-choice DAT Prelims

Entry into NID Jorhat is through a multi-phase process. Candidates take part in DAT Prelims after registering online, and those who pass move on to DAT Mains. The DAT Mains shortlisted candidates move on to a studio exam where their design abilities, conceptual thinking, and capacity for both solo and group work are assessed. Those who perform well in the studio exam then go through an interview process where their communication abilities, fit for the B.Des program, goals for their careers, and capacity to explain the design thinking process are evaluated.

The expenses associated with pursuing a postgraduate course at NID Jorhat can be delineated into various components. The overall fee structure for PG programs encompasses tuition fees, accommodation charges, and boarding fees, with a semester-wise breakdown.
