NIELIT Agartala Admission Process 2023

National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT) Agartala is the 11 centre of NIELIT institutions in the country, established in 2009. It aims to facilitate the youth of Tripura to have easy access to education and training in the field of Computer Science and Information Technology. The centre is AICTE-approved and its formal courses are affiliated with Tripura University.

Absolutely, the National Institute of Electroics and Information Technology, Agartala is a  technology-oriented institute of higher education well recognised by various government bodies and organisations. Formerly known as, Tripura Engineering College.

• Approved by AICTE.
• It is the 11th Centre of NIELIT (formerly DOEACC Society) in the country and the 5th in the North-Eastern Region.
• In 2013, the mechanical and civil engineering branches of the institute were accredited by the National Boards of Accreditation for five years, while the electrical engineering branch was provisionally accredited for two years.

According to NIRF Rankings 2022, the institute is ranked on 80th position among the Top Engineering Colleges in India.

To join the National Institute of Electronics and Information Techology (NIT, Agartala) also known as Tripura Engineering College, the students must follow the following guidelines:-

1. First of all the candidate need to appear in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) and secure a merit list rank on the basis of marks obtained in this examination.
2. To be able to appear in the JEE, one must have a minimum of 75% marks in Class XII Senior Secondary Examination Certificate (65% for SC/ST/)
3. The candidate should be within the category-wise top 20 percentile in their respective Class XII board examination.
4.  Once you have secured a decent score in the JEE  register for the counselling process
5.  During the counselling process, candidates must select NIT Agartala as their preferred institute.

If your name comes in the merit list than for NIT Agartala, you would be selected and given an admission in the premier institute.
