No, you cannot appear for the entrance this year because the academic session starts by July end. So by that time you need to be graduate and provide your graduation certificate to the college.

Well you cannot get admission in NIFT without appearing for it's entrance exam. So you can drop a year and appear for it next year i.e. 2019.

Yes it is possible but NIFT entrance exam happens in the month of February every year. So you can definitely do B.Des from NIFT, it's just that you'll have to drop a year and appear for the exam next year i.e. February 2019.

Hi Mousumi,
I would recommend you to contact your assigned nodal officer as soon as possible or if you fail to contact the person in charge then visit one of the NIFT center and contact the authorities instead. Do carry all your necessary documents.

Hi Samreena,
The Maximum Age for the B.Des. Programme at NIFT is 23 years as on 1st October, 2017. The upper age limit may be relaxed by a period of 5 (five) years for the candidates of Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribe/ Person With Disability (PWD). So If by the time of registration, i.e. filling the entrance exam forms, one is 23 years and not yet 24 years old then he/she is eligible to apply.
