For mba you have to apply for CAT exam. On the basis of your rank in CAT (common admission test) you can get into the IIMs! For applying for MBA you must hold a bachelor degree!

Fees is high in case of PGDM as compared to MBA. MBA institutes charge less fees as it is almost similar to university standards. It is not mandatory that a PGDM is equal to MBA because then the colleges offering the PGDM course must have accreditation from AIU (The Association of Indian Universities).
