Well, this is a very complicated question to be answered. Both these law schools are at par with each other, be it academics, mooting (though GNLU is doing substantially better of late), placements (NLU-J takes this one, but it’s all about the batch size) and other basic criteria. As per the NLU placement reports recorded for the past five years, NLSIU Bangalore, NLU Delhi, NALSAR Hyderabad, WBNUJS Kolkata, and GNLU are leading the best placements for law students (among NLUs). Therefore, law aspirants prefer NLUs since they rank among the top law schools in India

No as It offers admission to the three-year LLB and five-year LLB at the UG level. At the PG level, it offers admission to the LLM for one year. Gujarat National Law University Course admission are based on entrance exam and academic merit. It accepts the valid scores of CLAT UG/PG.

GNLU provides various integrated law courses at the undergraduate level. The courses last for five years. For admission to the Gujarat National Law University 5-year LLB Courses, Candidates shall have passed 10+2 with not less than 55% marks in any stream. Candidates who have passed 10+2 in a relevant combination stream will be preferred for the respective course. ( 50% for applicants in the SC and ST categories).

Selection of the entrants is based on the CLAT UG Scores. Thus, applicants must take the examination and pass with good marks. Besides, students must satisfy the cutoff criteria defined by the University. GNLU cutoff varies from course to course.

Gujarat National Law University admissions are offered at undergraduate, postgraduate & doctoral levels. GNLU Gandhinagar courses are offered in full-time & part-time modes. GNLU Gandhinagar admission to 5 years integrated law programmes based on CLAT UG. Candidates aspiring for GNLU Gandhinagar L.L.M programme have to appear for CLAT PG. Gujarat National Law University M.B.A. Financial Management and Business Law admission is offered based on the marks obtained in CAT/MAT/CMAT, followed by a legal aptitude test, group discussion and personal interview. Candidates willing to take Ph.D admission must take an entrance exam followed by an interview.

Placement at Indira Gandhi National Tribal University: Placement Cell that helps in the smooth conduction of the placement process.
