As a minimum criterion of eligibility, the course requires the candidate to have attained the 10+2 qualification in the science stream with Physics, Math and Chemistry as main subjects, and a minimum aggregate score of 60%. Opting for commerce will not help you fulfill the eligibility criteria for B.Sc. in Nautical Science.

1. It is mandatory for all the candidates to qualify in the Common Entrance Test conducted by IMU Indian Maritime University.
2. The eligible candidates in all respects i.e. educational qualifications, age, physical and medical standards, eye-sight is advised to apply for the Common Entrance Test conducted by IMU. The admission for this program is offered twice a year, i.e. in January/February and July/August.

Other eligibility criteria:
The candidate must have studied B.Sc in PCM/ Electronics with physics as an individual subject with minimum 60% marks and the candidate must have also studied B.Tech/B.E from IIT or college recognized by AICTE with minimum 50% marks are eligible.
The candidate must also have studied English in 10/10+2/graduation with minimum 50% marks.

Candidate must have secured minimum 60% marks in mandatory subjects and must have studied English as a subject either in Class X or Class XII with securing at least 50% marks.
Shortlisted candidates will be called for personal interview based 10+2 marks and rank obtained in Indian Maritime University Common Entrance Test (IMUCET).
