Hello Sareeka,
As per the official notification, candidates who are going to appear in UGC NET Examination must possess the post-graduation degree from the recognised university with minimum 55% marks. The marks will be calculated overall including the all the semester's marks. Previously CBSE was the conducting agency of the UGC NET exam. From December 2018 the National Testing Agency also known as NTA will conduct the exam twice a year. Yes, anyone who has Master's degree with atleast 55% marks is eligible for NET Exam. But you should choose the subject wisely for exam.

You have not mentioned your subjects of graduation and post graduation levels. If it is education, then you can do Ph.D. in education. But, if your subject is philosophy, you are bound to do your doctorate degree in philosophy only. My suggestion is that you can take educational philosophy as your doctoral programme. You can also try to find job in schools as M.Ed is a very good option to secure a job there. All the best.

In the NET exam, you need to select the same subjects in which you have done your post-graduation. You can't choose Urdu after doing M.A. In economics.

National Eligibility Test is to determine the eligibility criteria of the aspirants for lectureship and for the award of Junior Research Fellowship. The UGC NET July 2018 Exam was conducted for 84 different subjects by the Central Board of Secondary Education. It will be beneficial for you to appear in NET Exam with sociology as you mastered in this subject. But, If you want then History subject can also be taken to appear in this exam.

Hello, If you have completed Masters in the Computer Science you can appear in the NET Exam. The NET Exam is mainly conducted in the month of June and December usually. The Exam was held recently on 8th July, now its time for the UGC NET Exam to be held in the month of December. The NET Exam is going to held in the month of December 2018. The Expected dates are from 2nd of December

Hello Shankar,
For NET exam, the percentage of Master's degree is only considered with atleast 55% is eligible for NET. But, 60% for General and 55% reserved category students are preferable while weightage.
