There are two modes of admission, namely online and offline.

A total of nine specialisations are offered in the BA programme, namely Hindi, English, Economics, History, Political Science, Sociology, Geography, Psychology and Journalism & Mass Communication.

The final selection to the BCA programme is based on Class 12 merit only.

As of now, total 175 offers were made and the highest package recorded was INR 32.16 LPA. Computer Science Engineering (CSE) Department was emerged as the top branch with the highest number of student placed. 107 students got selected so far. The university witnessed participation of 77 recruiters from different companies. DXC Technology, Cognizant GenC Elevate, Infosys were the popular recruiters.

Netaji Subhas University is a private university which was formerly known as Netaji Subhas Institute of Business Management located in Jamshedpur.
