No, you don't need to apply separately. NIFT conducts a single exam on the national level. You can select the exam centre close to your location while applying for the exam and also give your preference for the institute you want to take admission in. Rest, NIFT will decide according to the rank you secure in the exam. You will get a seat according to the seat availability in these institutes and your rank in NIFT exam.

Yes, you can pursue Masters in Fashion Design. The basic eligibility requirement for a candidate is to have a graduation in any discipline from a recognised University. You must have a good level of creativity and imagination as the admission in design colleges depend on Design Aptitude Test (that). Some of the great colleges in India for Fashion Design include NID, NIFT, Amity University, Apeejay Institute of Design, Symbiosis Institute of Design and IIFT.

It is definitely possible but each fashion institute has its own eligibility criteria. Some may allow admission to a candidate hailing from any educational background while others would prefer a candidate who has done graduation in design field itself. You will have to check the criteria of all the colleges that you are interested in. For example: Pearl Academy will not consider your application for the Masters programme but NID and NIFT would accept the application as the admission criteria is solely dependent on how you perform in the entrance exam. You are eligible to apply if you have cleared your 10+2 from a recognised board of education, which I am assuming you already have. Another criteria for admission is, you should be 23 years of age or below as on October 1, 2017. You can find more detailed information about the exam on this link: https://www.shiksha.com/design/exams/nift-entrance-exam

As you know there are two levels to crack NIFT i.e. aptitude test and situation test. Situation test is totally based on your presence of mind and creative skills.
It's very important to crack situation test to get into NIFT. Definitely, it's a game changer but you can not ignore aptitude test as its 1st step and it has 60% weightage on your overall marks.
To get a seat of your desired course and centre, it's very important to perform well in both the exams. Otherwise, it becomes difficult to get the department of your choice.
All the best to all the aspirants. I hope my answer will help you!
Best wishes!

Do not panic. You still have ample amount of time left to prepare well. It is suggested to download and go through the last year papers well. Understand the pattern and dwell your understanding on the repeated topics like type of paintings, general questions, perspectives, etc. Pick the topics and study them well from Internet. This is the best way to cover all the topics in less time.
