No, maths in not a compulsion if you wish to enter into the fashion designing field.

If you have got the admission in NIFT then don't just miss out the opportunity. Go ahead and pursue the course. Excel in your field and be the best designer amongst all as that is something that will take you to the great heights.
What matters in the end is your skills and not your institute.

If you have done textile engineering then PG from NIFT will be a better optiin because NIFT is related to designing. M.tech through GATE also have options for pursuing course related to designing but. there are very few colleges and courses available in this case. Hence go for NIFT.
