Semester wise the fees is 2,10,000 INR. It would be a huge amount for 8 semesters. In NIFT, it is 50k per semester.

The selection of candidates for the Diploma program will be carried out by the campus on the basis of qualification, personal interview and presentation. A list of the selected candidates will be announced through NIFT website.

Yes, both GDPD from NID and B.Des from NIFT are equivalent and both the colleges are two best colleges for design in India.

You will get admission at NIFT.
Below mentioned are the few things to prepare for NIFT exams:
1. You should prepare GK.
2. Read about Indian textile and fashion industry.
3. You should be good at logical reasoning.
4. Ability to draw well about things related to clothing and drawing compositions.
5. You should learn about colors and their meanings.

For the first round of the exam, which involves basics like mathematics, English and reasoning. You should be able to do well, if you are good enough in school. Here are some points which can help you to score good marks.
1.Try to sketch almost anything and everything you come across.
2. Keep your eraser away from you while practicing. It will help your lines become more bold and confident.
3. Stick to the prescribed syllabus of the NIFT entrance exam.
In the Examination Hall:
4. Please use quality color pencils. Best and economic option would be faber castle colour pencils with at least 24 shades in it.
5. Planning is very important. First plan your ideas and then start on with sketching.
7. Start off with simple ones like logo design or T-shirt design. Go for the complicated ones like scene drawing
