If a student is unable to clear the NIOS 10th exams, then they can appear for the exams in the same year. This is under the NIOS On-Demand Examination System. Students need not worry even if they fail for the NIOS exam. NIOS provides chance for the student to appear for the subjects that they failed during the on-demand examination. With proper preparation, they can easily clear the exam.

Yes, NIOS allows students who have taken admission in the Secondary level to change their subjects. Students have to pay the fees as mentioned by the NIOS. For change of subject/additional subject, students should submit their application on plain paper to the concerned Regional Centre of the NIOS through their AI. The fees for Secondary Course Rs. 720/- per subject. The subject (s) passed cannot be changed.

The difficulty level of any subjects will depend on the preparation level of the student. So in general, we cannot say that NIOS 10th syllabus is easy. As far as NIOS students are concerned, they have to learn by themselves. They cannot attend classes like other school-going students. They need to prepare well for the NIOS 10th exam, so as to achieve a good score.

National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) releases the NIOS 10th syllabus online. Students have to check the official website - nios.ac.in. for the NIOS 10th syllabus. They can download the NIOS 10th syllabus in PDF form. NIOS syllabus for 10th 2023 is the same for public and on-demand exams. NIOS 10th Syllabus is available for all subjects namely English, Maths, Hindi, Science, Social Science and more.

Students should secure minimum 33% of the total marks for passing the NIOS Class 10 exam. According to the official website of the NIOS Board, the passing criteria are as follows: 1. For the secondary course, you need to score a minimum of 33% in the aggregate. Your score can be in theory plus practical (where applicable). 2. For senior secondary, you need to score at least 33% separately in the practical and theory exams. 3. Also, your total score for each subject must be 33% in at least five subjects with one language paper.

NIOS requires students at the Secondary level to have passed at least Class 8, and be of 14 years of age. They can also submit a self-certificate stating that they have studied enough to pursue the Secondary certificate. Students who have partially or fully completed their Class 10th degrees from other boards can also enroll for the Secondary level to improve their grades or complete their course. Students at the Secondary level need to take a minimum of 5 subjects, including at least one language, and no more than 2 languages. They can take a maximum of 7 subjects.
