Both, MGSU Bikaner and Nirwan University offer MSc courses across 8 specialisations. However, most of the specialisations offered in both the universities vary from each other. While MGSU Bikaner offers MSc in Computer Science, Environmental Science, Cyber Security, and others. Nirwan University offers M.Sc in Physics, Mathematics, Agriculture, among others. Students can choose the institute depending on their desired courses, fees, and other criteria.

Both VMOU and Nirwan University are good options to pursue MA. However, in terms of affordability, VMOU is more affordable since the tuition fees to pursue MA at VMOU range from INR 11,100 to INR 16,800, and the tuition fee to pursue MA at Nirwan University is INR 22,00.

Placement packages for M.Tech. aspirants at Nirwan University Jaipur differ from one specialisation to another and also depend on the industry. Nevertheless, the placement cell of the university, plays a proactive role to help the students by working with recruiters such as Infosys, TCS, Wipro, HDFC Bank, etc. Even though specific numbers are available but not on a regular bases, the average package for master's degree courses tends to be between 3 to 6 Lacs per annum in regard to other industries and institutions, and the same goes for higher education.

Admission to MTech at Nirwan University is not done based on the scores obtained in any entrance exam. To be eligible for the course, the candidate must have passed graduation in a relevant stream from a reputed University with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

The eligibility standards for different specialisation B.Sc. programs at Nirwan University are as follows:
1. B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture: Applicants should have completed 10+2 Science/Agriculture with a minimum of 50% marks predominantly (45% marks for reserved categories). Entry into the state-level JET examination is compulsory.
2. B.Sc. (General): In general, one should have passed the 10+2 with the prescribed Science subjects without any caveats. The Nursing or Horticulture B.Sc. programs, for example, may have different subject requirements such as PCB and JQ percentage cut-offs.
