Odisha is an educational hub and stands with some of the best colleges and universities in India. There are around 134 top MBA colleges in Odisha and most of them are situated in the capital city, Bhubaneswar. There is no placement cell at NISER. However, students who score more than 7.5 CGPA after 5 years integrated M.Sc. Course get a chance to attend an interview for the post of C grade scientist in the BARC with a salary of Rs. 80,000 per month. Usually, students do Ph.D. from top institutions abroad and India.

In order to pursue M.Ed one should meet the below mentioned eligibility criteria: General candidates need to secure a minimum of 50% to 60% marks in graduation courses from a recognised university. SC/ST/OBC/Differently able candidates get 5% relaxation in qualifying percentage in graduation. M.Ed.
